Our Story
Cafe au Lait was form when a group of anime nerds got together to combine their talents and hobbies to create events and activities for our community. On February 23, 2013 we officially announce ourselves as a up and running butler & maid cafe!
Our Humble Beginnings
Cafe au Lait BMC is a pop up maid cafe experience where a group of nerds get together in maid and butler cosplay and host events centered around games, food and fun activities for the nerdy community! Mention Handmaid, the snacks stand and group activities. Try to answer common questions in as short of a description for no confusions

Cafè au Lait is a pop up Maid Cafe group caters to our community by hosting events that make you feel right at home! These events can be located at cons, stores, and other locations within the Central Florida area. Inspired by the Cosplays Cafe trend of Japan, Maid Cafes are a place to experience the feeling of cuteness overload from your maids who serve you yummy treats and entertain you through games, performances and more. Cafè au Lait takes this a step further by making our main focus on guest's experiences. With our professional yet friendly approach, we strive to keep a personal authentic connection with all of our guest. At our Butler & Maid Cafe you will enjoy dances, games, and music while you eat. We provide unique snacks and drinks for guest to try new items or snag hard to find fan favorites. Our goal is to bring you events that gather together like minded fans of pop culture to strengthen the bonds within our community.

We are located in Orlando, Florida but like to branch out to other areas in Central Florida. We have hosted events outside of Orlando such as Metrocon (Tampa) in 2014 and Fl Polycon (Lakeland) in 2018. We hope we can continue to host at other Central Florida conventions in the near future! Our main convention events will be hosted at Omni Fandom Expo once a year.

Hand-Maid Shop
In 2017 we expanded the group to included other activities such as the Hand-Maid Shop. It was formed after realizing our group had many artists that were struggling to get market booths due to low product, high cost, and security issues. together, this allowed us to support each other through our artist endeavors and grow as individual artists.
Each item is handmade by our own Maids or Curated collectables looking for a new home. We also sell snacks and cafe merch to fundraise for future events. Check out our socials page to see our past and future events. Instagram & Facebook
Panels, workshops and other activities.
Before we could host our Maid Cafes we hosted panels about Maid Cafes. This was back in 2015 when Maid Cafes were probably only really mention in passing in selective Anime so only true die hards knew about them. Then we grew to host Gameshows when we weren't allowed to host Cafe events due to food or space limitations. Later we became apart of several tabletop gaming rooms to the point we now host our own game rooms. We continue to expand to new ideas like our recent craft workshops and cosplay hangouts.
